Students are an integral component of the Coastal Hazards Center’s mission.

While CHC-E fosters curriculum concentrations, bachelor’s and master’s degree, CHC-R employs students as research interns.

Each summer CHC-R hires a student from one of the minority serving partner institutions to work alongside a Principal Investigator in a research project at UNC Chapel Hill.

Also, the DHS Summer Research Team for MSI’s brings a faculty member and student intern team from a minority serving partner institution to one of the host centers.
